Dena and I are back in Kitchener after ten days in Crystal Falls. Not as rested as we should be but all in all, a good time. The worst part is the first day back at work. Everybody and their mother had to take a crack at me. Ugh. But as I always say, as much as you’d like to believe that the place will fall apart when you leave, it probably won’t. And it didn’t, but the work piled up. Can’t get a hold of me at work this week? Go figure 😉

Here’s something to make my workload seem a little lighter…Dena’s brother Justin reported to me via a preview he saw before The Matrix: Reloaded that Freddy vs Jason. It’s about damn time!!! It probably won’t win any awards or be culturally or socially relevent, but I’ve been waiting a long time for this one. I like my beer cold, my hockey fast and my movies to include entertaining killings from Freddy Krueger. Speaking of hockey, it’s a shame that the Sens couldn’t make it into the finals. They’re an example of what hockey used to be; (relatively) modestly-paid players mostly acquired via drafts picks and matured within the team. 2003 Stanley Cup Finals = yawn.

While awaiting the release of Radiohead‘s “Hail To The Theif”, listen to the New Porngraphers‘ “Electric Version”; it’s fine catchy Canadian indie.
