from the home office in sioux city, iowa

February 18, 2004 under Computers, Life, Programming

I’m working from home today. Yay! 🙂 Here’s why I like working from home:

  1. My home computer is much faster than my work computer.
  2. I’m never interupted by people telling me “they can’t print” or “Word just crashed for the third time today”. You see, they let our IT guy go two years back and added IT duties ontop of my software development duties.
  3. I code to music and all of my CDs are here at home.
  4. I don’t need to dress business-casual and can dress Chris-style (which is quite low in the style department).
  5. I can put my feet up on the desk when I’m thinking. I also pace when I’m concentrating on solving a problem or tracking down bugs. Pacing would make me look a little bit crazy in an office setting.

The code won’t write itself so off I go to work, which is where I am right now at home 😉
