I haven’t been excited about a game in quite some time. Along comes Unreal Tournament 2004 and changes all of that. When Unreal Tournament 2003 was released a while back, it was exciting…at first. The graphics engine was revamped and sexy. There were nifty bells ‘n’ whistles like the rag-oll physics from the Karma Math Engine. But the game was boring and UT2K3 servers were virtually deserted. Thankfully, the original Unreal Tournament still had a strong following.
UT2K4 rawks, so far! It looks like Epic and Digital Extremes have redeemed themselves. Servers are populated and there’s plenty of game types. I have a feeling that many hours of my life will vanish thanks to this game 😉
