Sebadoh rawked faux-accoustically indeed! I know they’re calling it “turbo accoustic” with their setup of electric bass, plugged-in accoustic guitar and recorded drum tracks on CD played on a boom box, but I’d like to call it eCoustic 🙂
Woohoo! The Flames are in the second round of the playoffs!!! I wasn’t sure if they were going to be able to beat the Canucks but they did it. And you have to admit that Game 6 was one of the best hockey games ever. They last time the Flames made it this far into the playoffs, I was still a kid in junior high. Hell, I was in highschool he last time that the Flames even made the playoffs at all. Now they play the Wings. I think if they keep up the gritty play they’ve shown so far and get some guys back from injuries, they can beat the ol’ buggers from Detroit.
A good time with Dena’s family was had by all, I think. Back to the grind after a four-day work week…ugh.
The Anderson side of Dena’s family are coming down to Kitchener for the next several days. So if I don’t update this site o’ mine….well, you’ll know why. So don’t act surprised.
Oh and there’s a small little tidbit I wanted to share. Nay, it’s friggin’ massive. The re-united Pixies are coming to Toronto on November 24th. Actually, they’re coming to Arrow Hall in Mississauga…close enough. If anybody gets in my path while I’m trying to get tickets, I shouldn’t be held responsible for what I do to you 😉
It’s now safe for me to speak. My Flames made the playoffs! It was safe for me to speak last Wednesday without fear of jixing when they clinched the playoff spot, but I wanted to be sure on their seeding. The city of Calgary must be exstatic….first playoff appearance for the Flames in seven years. It’ll be interesting to see how they fare against the Canucks in the first round.
