Wooooohooooo!!! Yaaaaaaaaaay! My Flames are the Western Conference champs and are headed to the Stanley Cup Finals!!! They’re the division champ killers. First they beat the Northwest Division champs, the Canucks. Next they beat the Central Division champs, the RedWings. And now they beat the Pacific Division champs, the Sharks. Not bad for a small-market team with a measly payroll of $35 million and an average age of 27. I’d like to think that my vow of blog silence is helping but it’s probably their hard work and detemination that’s doing it 🙂
Speaking of my vow of blog silence, I’ll be even more silent for a little bit longer. Dena and I are heading to Crystal Falls tomorrow for ten days. We’ll be back in Kitchener at the end of the month. I’ll also be silient because I had to RMA my motherboard. The PCI bridge seemed to fail. I thought it wouldn’t matter; instead of using my Audigy and NIC, I could use the onboard LAN and sound. Those are shot, too. The whole RMA process should take a few weeks. The make due, I brought home an older notebook from work that wasn’t being used and installed Fedora Linux on it so that we could check our email and use Gaim. Hopefully the new motherboard will be on the way to Kitchener at the same time that we are.
Sea of Red, ya’ll! Go Flames Go!
