no hockey league

January 11, 2005 under Hockey, Sports

Ten years ago today, the NHL lock-out of 1994 came to an end. I don’t think the same will happen this year. But folks, there’s still great hockey to see. The World Junior Championships were a good example. Sportsnet is showing a lot of AHL games. Local Rogers channels in Ontario always broadcast OHL games (we get plenty of Rangers games).

Then there’s NFL post season, which is in full-swing. Like last year, I’m cheering for the Colts and so is Dena. There’s also the NBA but basketball bores me to death, so I’ll leave that to your discretion.

I can wait for the NHL and the players association to get their heads out of their asses and find an agreement that makes both sides happy. There’s plenty of good hockey, and other sports, that I can watch.
