this is football weather

January 24, 2005 under Football, Life, Sports

Yesterday was a bad football day for me. None of the teams that I was cheering for won. Given the current choice, I’m cheering for the Eagles 😐

Southern Ontario, as well as other parts of the continent, had some winter weather issues over the past couple of days. As usual, the greater majority of people here in southern Ontario either drive like they’ve never seen snow before or like the snow doesn’t actually exist. I’ve said this before, I’m saying it now, and I’ll probably be saying it again in the future. And yeah, it was cold, but for those from northern climates it shouldn’t seem that cold. My mom was freaking out over -30° Celsius for a couple of days. A couple of days. In Timmins, where she’s lived 97% of her life, it’s consistantly -30° for at least two months of the winter. Dena thinks it’s freezing too. Albeit, Crystal Falls probably isn’t as cold as Timmins in the winter for the most part, but it sure is much colder than Kitchener. I guess people acclimatize at different rates.
