Nah. Football’s a great game. I prefer the CFL over the NFL because the CFL game is much quicker and more exciting. But the NFL is full of personalities, massive linemen and plenty of drama. Sadly, this year’s Superbowl was total ass. They usually are because they’re most often blowouts. This year, though, was just plain boring. The 6 hours leading up to the game were boring. The game itself was boring. Aretha Franklin and Aaron Neville masacred the US anthem. ABC censored the Rolling Stones at half-time – it was a Fisher-Price Superbowl. Lame.
The only redeeming thing was the fact that the Steelers won.
I went to a NFL game in Atlanta once. I dont understand football and I dont quite understand how the tailgate parties are legal. You hop out of your truck, booze your face off till gametime, watch the game while boozing, go back to the parking lot, finish off the case, then hop in your car and drive home. The one I was at even had police supervision.
For me, I love football. I grew up with football. In my household every Sunday was football day. We watched the game as a family. I watched my brothers play football in high school. As an American, I think football is just a way of life for most of us. I understand in southern States football is HUGE!!! After finally agreeing to watch the CFL, I agree that NFL football is boring. But I still love it. I totally agree with Pat regarding the commentators. I can’t stand them….so I tune them out. I will continue to watch the NFL over the CFL and I will continue to watch the Super Bowl every year (even though it should be called the Snooze Bowl) because afterall, I am from Michigan and that is what we do:) Go LIONS!!!!

I truly cannot stand football anymore, as the commentary is brutal, the game is generally boring.
I don’t mind the playoffs if there is nothing else on, but with a PVR, there’s always something!
I’m now only watching hockey, tennis, and golf on tv.
Wanker, yes, I know. 😉
