not having an average weekend

June 19, 2006 under Life

Friday, our company had a release party for the latest version of our flagship software. We had an all-expenses paid evening consiting of Yuk Yuk’s and Ali Baba Steak House…with drink tickets!!! 😉 The headlining comic at Yuk Yuk’s was Pete Zedlacher, who is frickin’ hilarious – Dena loved his Comedy Now! special on the Comedy Network.

Dena, my dad and I went to cousin Christine’s place in Etobicoke yesterday to visit my cousins and my aunt and uncle who were down from Timmins. It was a little sureal to be at the first sort of family gathering without my mom. But it was nice to see everyone, since it’s been a while.

PS: Plug for Paul: check out Hellbound at the Second City tonight (June 19, 2006) where he’ll be performing.

yes it was strange, but my parents were really happy to see all of you. your dad seemed in good spirits. having little kids running around screaming in glee over farting and smelly feet seems to make most people happy. thanks for the kids cards and money, and you Dena did not have to do that. when you buy your house, we will have to buy you both a big piece of crystal for your dining room….
PS: Paul’s show was very good Monday night, my parents and I were the only straight people in the whole bar, talk about surreal…
