so i says to mabel, i says….

July 30, 2007 under The Simpsons Movie

Not only did the Simpsons Movie totally live up to my expectations, it surpassed Fox’s financial expectations at the box office. I think most long-time Simpsons fans would find very few faults with the film. It stayed true to itself and only on a few occasions did it feel like a major motion picture (Ex: improved animation a la Futurama). All in all I, a fan from the very beginning, wasn’t disappointed in the slightest. The only way I think that it could’ve been better would be if Phil Hartman were still around to lend his voice again. Sadly, that won’t ever happen, but we can learn a valuable lesson from all of this; mild-mannered Canadian guys shouldn’t marry psycho American chicks 😉

Oh, and Spider Pig wasn’t the highlight of the Simpsons Movie, thankfully.
